Job Title: Estimation Engineer – Electrical LV Control Panels

Job Overview

Nanu Industries Goa, are seeking a detail-oriented Estimation Engineer with 2 to 5 years of experience to join our team based out of the Bethora Industrial Estate, Goa. The ideal candidate holds a degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering and possesses strong foundational knowledge of electrical engineering principles. In this role, you will analyze client inquiries, interpret technical drawings, and prepare accurate, competitive cost estimations and technical compliance sheets for all types of Low Voltage (LV) control panels.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Estimation & Costing

  • Analyze client tender documents, Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), technical specifications, and Bills of Quantities (BOQ).
  • Prepare accurate cost estimations and commercial proposals for LV panels, including PCCs, MCCs, APFC panels, and feeder pillars.
  • Select appropriate switchgear, busbars, enclosures, and accessories based on client specifications and engineering standards.
  • Perform basic busbar sizing, short-circuit calculations, and component mapping to optimize panel costs.
  • Prepare detailed technical compliance sheets and deviation statements required for formal tender submissions.

Vendor Coordination & Sourcing

  • Send out inquiries to component manufacturers and vendors to obtain competitive pricing for switchgear and specialized parts.
  • Evaluate vendor quotations technically and commercially to ensure alignment with project requirements.
  • Maintain an updated database of component prices, sheet metal fabrication costs, and commodity rates.

Internal Collaboration

  • Work closely with the Sales & Marketing team to ensure timely submission of bids and clear up technical ambiguities.
  • Hand over successfully won projects to the Design and Production teams, providing detailed estimation sheets and technical notes.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Education: B.E. / B.Tech or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience: 2 to 5 years of core experience in the estimation and costing of electrical LV control panels.
  • Location: Must be able to commute daily to Bethora Industrial Estate, Ponda, Goa.

Technical & Core Skills

  • Must have strong basic knowledge of electrical engineering concepts, switchgear operations, and protection devices.
  • Familiarity with reading and interpreting complex electrical schematics and engineering drawings.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel for preparing detailed costing sheets; basic knowledge of AutoCAD is an advantage.
  • Understanding of standard manufacturing processes, sheet metal fabrication, and panel enclosure IP ratings.

Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail to prevent costing errors.
  • Good time management skills to handle multiple tender deadlines simultaneously.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills in English and Hindi to coordinate with vendors and internal teams.
